Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 6/09

Good Morning,

Annual Conference 2025 is in the books, and I was appointed to serve Ashland for year 9. We pulled into the driveway last night at 9:00 pm and found over 3 inches of rain had fallen while we were away.  Everything is green and growing.  Carol and I were out and got 3.5 miles behind us to start the day. I have meetings and catchup on the calendar today.  It is good to be home.    Have a nice day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Matthew 7:13-14 (New International Version)
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Today's Thought

The key to the Kingdom is in the hands of Jesus.  We say everybody needs a little Jesus because we know where He leads us. This weekend we talked vision and goals for Missouri Methodism.  The central tenant for 2025 will be to be the most loving church in every community we serve.  We want to be known for being open and inviting to everyone.  We have our work cut out for us.  It is more than being the most loving, it is being known as the most loving.  We want to make a mark in St. Joseph as a safe place for everyone to worship God.  How can we step up our game? Just a thought for today!
