Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/30
| Good Morning, We say goodbye to April today. A chance of April showers to end the month and then bring on the May flowers. Carol is off spend a couple of days with Emma. Mark and Winja needed a little backup and Carol was happy to go. Next week she is off to help out in Columbia, so a busy time. Pete is coming tonight to help me get the new stove installed. I hope we can knock it out in a couple of hours, but we shall see. Don't forget this weekend the youth are leading worship at 9:00 and 11:00. We will have thier message recorded to have at 8:00. I meet with Dr. Smith on Friday to get a time for my knee surgery. I am not excited to do this, but sometimes you just have to do things. I trust Mike so here we go. I hope you enjoy the day! Today's Thought
| This passage has to be held in context and used with the heart of Jesus. We are to speak the truth, but it must be tempered with love. How you speak and why you speak are important. The truth as a weapon or to get our way or make our point is dangerous. The truth should always be about loving correction for someone, not for our justification. A true follower of Christ will always speak in love and grace. Just a thought for today! |
