Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 3/3

Good Morning,
I hope you had a nice weekend. I loved worship Sunday. Great people and great music. We have a new group of folks joining Ashland on March 16th. I love pastoring a growing and vibrant church. I had a strange experience this weekend. We took Norman Akers to Bedford, Iowa to his final earthly resting place. We all got out of my car and went to the graveside and Suburban locked itself. Yes, the keys were on the console and there we sat. I am thankful the local Sheriff was able to open it in under a minute, but this was strange. Carol is taking Maggie to the vet this morning. Bless her heart she is failing every day. We shall see where we go from here. Yes, your prayers would be appreciated. Have a great day!
Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Isaiah 55:8-9 (New International Version)
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Today's Thought

It is presumptuous to think we know God's thoughts. We lack God's knowledge or wisdom, and though we don't understand, we can trust God. Things in life always baffle us, but it is because we are not God. God is faithful always. Just a thought for today!
