Pastor Doug's Thought for Today January 29, 2026

Good Morning,

It seems like I have not written in forever.  Carol and I took our January trip to Cayman, I was able to be here and preach Sunday then Sunday afternoon I started feeling ill, by Monday morning my fever was well over 101 leaving me in bed until this morning.  I have been getting a thing or two done from home preparing funerals and Sunday's service. A big thanks to Carol for home care and our staff for covering the office.  Saturday is Joe Stobl's funeral and I just learned Mary Cornett passed away and we are having her service Monday.  There are a few things to do to get back up to speed, but we will get there.

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Mark 9:35 (New International Version)

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

Today's Thought

The Kingdom to Come is a different reality than our world today.  The heart of love drives the new Kingdom.  We are to put others first and serve everyone.  I believe if we would lean into this now we could make this world a much better place today. Just a thought for today!
