Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 5/27

Good Morning,

The weekend has come to a close.  What a busy weekend it was.  We made the trek to Columbia for Abes' graduation.  It was a great event and Abe graduated with honors; we are so proud of him. We were back to St. Joseph for worship and them off to Canton to place flowers on Carol's parents' graves. Yes, we traveled a lot of miles and after 2 trips to Como last weekend I am ready for a weekend at home.  The rain is marvelous; rain just beats irrigation every time.  We were without power this morning, in fact I still don't have power at the house.  This will be a short week, but a good week.  Have a great day and remember everybody needs a little Jesus.

Blessings, Doug

I want to make you aware Jackie Stufflebean passed away and the family has elected to not have a service.  Please express your sympathy to Ray and the family.

Today's Scripture

Acts 20:24 (New International Version)
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Today's Thought

Paul tells us his only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord  has given him.  The task?  To testify to the good news of God's grace.  What about you?  What is your aim? I hope to always testify to the good news of God's grace.  God's grace should be what we always offer to folks.  Don't let legalism and judgement slip into our life.  Love with the power and grace God has given you offering it to everyone!  Just a thought for today!
