Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 7/07

Good Morning,

I hope you had a great weekend!  It was great to be in the pulpit again as we kicked off our new sermon series, "Monday Mission".  I hope you are starting your week off with a desire to reflect God in your work life!  We had a fantastic VBS Rally last night.  We will begin VBS next Sunday evening as we take off on a "Road Trip".  I am two weeks post-surgery today. I am improving every day.  I want to thank my mystery gift on Sunday.  I have really cool Hallmark T-Shirt to wear watching Christmas in July movies.  Thank You!  Abe returns from Seattle today and Carol is picking him up from KCI.  I think he had a lot of fun.  I am anxious to hear about the trip.  Enjoy this fine summer day!
Have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

PS:  Please keep the Hurlbut family in your prayers as they say their earthly good-byes to Dean this morning.

Today's Scripture

Psalm 18:30 (New International Version)
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

Today's Thought

God's way is perfect.  The Gospels reveal to us how to live that word out.  Jesus is God and therefor everything Jesus said and did is perfect.  We should strive for perfection by following the example of Jesus.  Lead with love and grace with the heart of a servant.   Just a thought for today!
