The Journey Ahead…
Ashland UMC is running with Team World Vision for the first time this year to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in developing countries. Beginners and novices through experienced runners, we are committed to moving our feet to bring clean water to those most in need. Together we can do this.
In Africa, there is a saying: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Join us and let's go farther together!
On October 19, Team Ashland members will traverse the 13.1 miles in downtown Kansas City as part of the KC Half-Marathon with the goal of raising $50,000. Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.
$50 = clean water for 1 person for the rest of their life
Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people?

World Vision provides more clean water than any non-government organization in the world. They work with communities around the world to help solve the puzzle of poverty—providing things like clean water, nutritious food, education, medical care, economic opportunity, and spiritual development.
