There are some things about life and this world that aren't known for sure, and so different people believe different things about those aspects of life. There are some things about this world we live in and about humankind that are shrouded in a bit of mystery and we all come to believe one thing or another about how those gaps between the facts are to be filled in.

But do we always know why we believe what we believe? It's important that we do, not only for our own understandings to be more consistent and credible, but also if we're to be of any help to anyone else as they formulate their understandings. In a sermon series from May 20-June 10 Pastor Gary will alternate Sundays will a couple of people from the Ashland congregation to speak personally to why they believe what they believe about some of the basic components of Christian faith and life.
