Congregational Care are ministries in which we show our Ashland family we care for them in their time of need. Praying for and with one another, visiting the homebound, wishing each other a Happy Birthday!...they are all ways of sharing Christ's love. Here are some of the ministry opportunities in the area of congregational care:
Heartmates - Heartmates are Ashland members who are paired up with a senior who is homebound or possibly just needing a friend. They have contact with that person monthly by a personal visit, card or phone.
Prayer lines - Beyond Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings the congregation comes together to pray for joys and concerns raised in a couple of different ways throughout the week. When notified by phone calls or emails those in the Ashland family who have volunteered to be part of this prayer ministry go to God in prayer when such requests are made.
Casseroles for Christ - Frozen casseroles cooked by Ashland members are delivered to families who may be grieving, moving, or are in need otherwise. Contact - Dlo Duvall
